Our mission is to secure reparative justice for American citizens whose ancestors were lynched in acts of racial terror during the Jim Crow era. These documented, historical hate crimes serve as the impetus behind our commitment to realizing multi-faceted, restorative justice outcomes.
Establish a national community of descendants of lynching victims that meets regularly to build unity
Create a comprehensive program that promotes healing and amplifies the agency of descendants
Build coalitions with national partners in support of human rights initiatives that strengthen our position as advocates
Support local and national efforts to secure reparations for Black Americans
A letter drafted at the 2021 conference sets out the painful past and purposeful intention of members of the Coalition.
